Beginners Strength Program Month One a is a month long resistance training program to build strength and confidence and to enhance your Yoga practice. All Yogis have a wish list in their practice. They want more upper body strength for chaturanga and arm balances, stronger legs for fierce lunges and standing poses, unshakable balance and core strength for smooth and elegant transitions. Add resistance training to your practice for a month and marvel at the difference in your practice. This program is designed for strength training rookies. Exercises are designed to be home workout friendly. As with all practices/programs on this site, the program is pain care aware and perfect for you if you are beginning to rebuild strength after injury or illness.
This program includes 3 30-40 minute workout sessions to be done weekly for four weeks. All exercises are accompanied by a video demo as well as tips for form and function. This is a home exercise program, requiring only a resistance band and a chair. You are encouraged to use household items to enhance your workout. The program is evidence informed to help you build strength for yoga.
